I sit in the corner of a long-forgotten cafe
Sipping my latte and remembering long-forgotten days
When a girl bursts through the doors
Crying and in such a state
She startles me from my thoughts and latte because
A cafe this forgotten should have no dramas
Two girls come up to her and comfort her and
I can only assume they are friends
They act like they are long lost or
Long Forgotten so close are they.
I hear in sobs and starts how she-
Was hurt-
How she-
Trusted him and he's let her-
Down.
And the long forgotten friends comfort her
Just as they should. With soothing words
And hugs.
And they tell her that soon he'll be long forgotten
And she insists that
She loves-
Him. That-
This pain is-
Here to stay.
She reminds me of myself from not so long ago.
And her forgotten friends explain that no love is forever
That everything ends
But she explains how she wishes she was dead.
This is definitely a voice from the past.
And the friends just
Gasp.
No one really wants to be dead.
She does though. Honest.
Truly.
They tell her so adamantly that it'll fade and
Disappear. That i just laugh
quietly
At their expense.
They have no idea. And it amuses
Me.
I laugh at
Their naivety.
Love never ends, afterall.
It just
Numbs.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.
I read this one, and that was pretty much my reaction.
The rythm in this piece enhances the sadness... it's just so emotional.
Beautiful work ^_^
I tried a piece of open poetry just recently and I don't think the result was anything like yours.
The line arrangement is really interesting also... really creative, again, nicely done =o)
